Prepare for Your Pet’s Successful Boarding Experience at Doggie Dude Ranch and the O’Cat Corral

Before you bring your pet in for their first stay at Doggie Dude Ranch & The O’Cat Corral, there are a few essential things that you need to know and check off your to-do list! To ensure a safe and happy experience for all our guests, please review the required forms, policies, and boarding guidelines below. Whether it’s your pup’s vacation or your cat’s cozy retreat, these steps will help you prepare for their purr-fect (or pawsome!) stay.

Our Forms & Policies

Before boarding your dog or cat at our pet resort, please take the time to read our policies and download and fill out the pet boarding agreement, registration form, and consent for treatment. This will help ensure a smooth registration process for your animal at our kennel.

NOTE: Each PDF form opens up in a new browser tab.

Boarding Guidelines

Before Stay:

  • Avoid dog parks, daycare, or grooming before boarding (grooming available during stay).

  • Monitor your pet’s health; contact us if you notice any concerns.

  • All dogs must attend a complimentary trial day.

  • Pets wear a purple “tearaway” collar during the trial for
    identification.

  • Update vaccinations, check-in/ check-out times, and any additional services.

During Stay:

  • Bring a maximum of 2 toys/chews and 1 bed.
  • New pets wear a red “tearaway” collar for identification.
  • No news is good news. If you don’t hear from us, your pup is doing great. We will ALWAYS contact you if there are any concerns.

Medications

There is no extra charge for medication administration, but all medications must be in their original container with the correct dosage. We do not administer injectable medications (e.g., insulin) and cannot modify dosages upon request. Please do not pre-pack medications with food. Owner instructions for administering medications must match the prescription container. Each dog must have its own prescription bottle; no shared medications are allowed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Know the Risks of a Social Kennel

At Doggie Dude Ranch, we pride ourselves on having trained supervision in all our playyards. While we do not accept aggressive dogs, it’s important to note that dogs can sometimes be reactive, and injuries may occur despite our best efforts. Social boarding inherently comes with some risks. Should any issues arise, DDR will contact you immediately and care for your pet as if they were our own. Thankfully, with all of the prevention and supervision we have in place, incidents are rare. Another potential risk is Canine Cough, which can spread in group settings. We take this very seriously and have strict cleaning protocols in place to reduce the risk as much as possible.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DDR DOES NOT PAY FOR VET BILLS DUE TO THESE INHERENT RISKS.
